Since she was a child, Kimberley always knew she would have her own business. In 2010, she launched ‘Abide’, a luxury womenswear label. Years later, Abide Maids was born from a natural progression after a bridal designer friend asked Kimberley to make a collection of bridesmaid dresses.

Having previously worked at the iconic Sassi Holford, Kimberly has a degree in Fashion & Textiles, with an extensive background in cutting, construction and design. Her 15 years’ worth of experience in London, Somerset and Devon means Kimberley has quickly become one of the most sought-after designers in the South West. And nothing makes Kimberley happier than providing the bride and bridesmaids with a shopping experience that celebrates every shape, style and size…

After establishing herself within the world of bridal fashion, Kimberley recognised a need for contemporary, elegant and bespoke bridesmaid dresses, with flowing fabrics, sympathetic silhouettes and luxurious touches. Since launching Abide Maids nearly a decade ago, Kimberley has hosted hundreds of appointments at her Devon studio, where the happiness of the bride and bridesmaids is at the heart of everything she does. From those initial sketches through to the intricate stitches, every handmade to order gown created at Abide Maids becomes a reflection of the woman who wears it.

Kimberley believes there is something indescribably special about seeing a bridesmaid’s posture, confidence and smile transform when they wear a dress that is perfect for them – from the little tweaks made to the neckline, a subtle amendment to the neckline or the silhouette it creates.
